Best Download Manager

Privacy Policy

Effective 13 October 2026 · applies to the Best Download Manager (“BDM”) Chrome extension

In short: BDM works entirely on your device. It does not collect, send, sell or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no analytics and no BDM servers involved in using the extension.

What BDM accesses

What BDM stores

Using Chrome's local extension storage, on your device only: your settings (theme, layout and alert preferences), your collections (their names and the IDs of the downloads you added), and small counters used to limit tips and notifications. Nothing is synced or sent elsewhere by BDM.

Permissions and why they are needed

What BDM does not do

BDM Pro

BDM Pro is not available yet. When it launches, purchases will be handled by a payment provider on a separate website. This policy will be updated before then to describe exactly what that involves.

Removing your data

Use Settings → Reset local data in BDM to clear its settings and collections, or remove the extension from Chrome to delete everything it stored. Your files and Chrome's own download history are not affected.

Changes and contact
